Ham Court is a historic house surrounded by beautiful gardens and farm land on the edge of Oxfordshire. It is home to Matthew Rice, his two black Labradors, ginger cat and a gaggle of chickens, brown pigeons, goats, Hereford cows and Jacob sheep.

Matthew’s eldest daughter, Lil, also lives at Ham Court with her fiancé and their baby boy. Lil and Dave are the creative minds behind Fools Delight, a circus and dinner show that they set up with their friend and co-clown, Sam Goodburn. Their big-top bonanza is held here in the grounds of Ham Court twice a year, during which times the whole farm is taken over by a cartwheeling chatterbox of performers, set builders, costume designers and musicians. It is utter heaven. Read more about previous shows and book tickets here.

The farm is located in Bampton, just 10 minutes from the chocolate-box Cotswold village of Burford and 40 minutes drive from Oxford. Our nearest train station is the rather unglamorous Didcot Parkway, with a very efficient 40 minute direct train from London Paddington.

Please note that Ham Court is a private home, although we do hold Open Garden days during the summer months and our calendar of events can be found here.

Whilst being located in a rural area is absolutely part of the charm of Ham Court, we understand that it can mean that visiting us is out of the question without an overnight stop. We have put together a list of our favourite places to stay in the area, so that you can visit us without the worry of an unbearably long journey.
